Mourinho Benches Casillas Again.

Real Madrid captain and goalkeeper, Iker Casillas started his second consecutive league game on the bench, playing second fiddle to Antonio Adán in Real Madrid's opening game of 2013 against Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid's Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho continues putting his faith in Adán as his starting keeper, just as he did against Málaga at La Rosaleda, leaving Casillas set to start Wednesday's Spanish Cup last 16 second leg against Celta.

Due to injuries in defence, Mourinho started with Frenchman Rafael Varane and Portuguese Ricardo Carvalho at centre-back and Ghanaian Michael Essien at left-back. José Callejón again started ahead of Ángel di María whilst Frenchman Karim Benzema kept his place up front despite Argentine Gonzalo Higuaín's return to fitness.

Real Madrid started the game with Adán; Arbeloa, Varane, Carvalho, Essien; Khedira, Xabi Alonso; Callejón, Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema.....
