Huge Spending Will Not Solve Nigeria’s Security Problems – Atiku.

One time Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said that big budget is not a solution to the Jama’atu Ahlus Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram nuisance in the nation. Abubakar also pointed out that approving a huge budget for education is not the solution to problems in the sector.
He stated that there must be intensive efforts to make things happen in the nation. The Turaki of Adamwa said this while delivering the 2012 Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Lecture at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja....

According to him, Atiku said, “Big spending or budget will not solve the Boko Haram problem just like a huge budget will not be the solution to the problems we are having in education… The International Labour Organisation estimates that we have 75 million unemployed people this year.

“Ironically we also have thousands of jobs available in certain sectors such as information and communication technology, which cannot be filled because of the scarcity of requisite skills in the available graduates… Enrolment and admissions have not kept up with our population growth. Our degrees are increasingly worthless.”

He then suggested that free institution and compulsory primary and secondary education should be encouraged across the country, noting that any parent who fail to abide by the law which says that anyone under the age of 18 must be in school should be held responsible....

Good One, Very Good One..
